Opinion On Buying A '76 911

Ok, what's everyone's opinion on buying a '76 911 with just under 60k on the car? I've read the '77 and up are better and have fix some issues with the previous motor, but this car is the " little lady that drove it occasionally".
To boot, this would be my first 911.
Thank You,
T.J.

Mid year cars have always been the way to get started, foot in the door. The studs need to be case saved in the near future and dilivar studs installed. Its just the way of the breed.
Stuck on a big repair bill for the engine..look for a 3.0 or 3.2 but love the car.

If not prepare to do them . I have a 75. (so i know )
I did most all the work, its still spendy. Once you drop the engine adres the the guides, studs, line bore
Oil by pass mod and a few i have forgot you will be fine
I am NOT knocking it...
One thing do not tell your self your might not need it..Rather tell your self it does ! Going in.....maybe you will luck out and all done for you (the last P.O.)
Oh, heater boxes, fan.....
ride ht
ETC
One thing.its a lot cheaper then sitting in the bar room !
and congrats on being here !
You will find this place to be very educational, professional , and not full of flammers like some forums i have to transverse

Mid year cars are great and increasing in value lately. Read up on the 2.7 engine issues so you go in with eyes open; it can get costly quick. If the condition of the car is above average: paint, interior, etc and the price is right, you could do well... You might want to post this on the 911 technical forum for more opinions as this is the engine rebuilding forum. Pictures always help too........ good luck!

Thank you all for the reply to my post. This would be my first venture with a car that I have wanted since I was a kid. I didn't pay attention to where I posted this so @TT Oversteer thanks for the heads up. -T.J.
