rebuilding my 3.0 row motor i got a set of 40 webers and headers i need some advice on pistons and cam selection any and all advice welcome

Bruce Anderson suggests a GE40 or 911 S cam, in which case he warns that additional valve clearance may be required. See page 145, 2nd edition. Seems that you already implemented all of his other suggestions;)

JE pistons of appropriate compression for ignition system (9.5:1 and below for single plug).

WebCam 464/465 cam - good idle, nice delivery if you enjoy a bit of rev.
