73.5 CIS oil pressure sender location
 

Hello, I am still working on my cardboard-box delivered 73.5 911 Targa 2.4T project and I am installing the new updated oil tensioner kit lines.

I am at the point where I want to install the larger oil pressure sender on the right hand side of the crankcase but cannot find a block-shaped fitting that appears in parts diagrams amongst my cardboard boxes of parts that this sender is supposed to screw into. I did find other fittings that are part of the oil lines that run from the cam towers to the crankcase.

I searched this forum and found a thread that stated the oil pressure sender unit was perhaps located in a different are than earlier (73 MFI and before) cars. Is this true and do I need this fitting? I cannot seem to locate this fitting in this forum's sponser listings for sale.

this picture has the fitting and sender in the location where earlier cars had the sender. The block-shaped fitting is what i need.

The block fitting wasnt used on the 73.5 but the sender was located as in the picture. The sender was the small threaded sender as used in the front top of the engine but there is a shorter fitting that has a through pipe, like the picture but shorter. I believe the longer right hose is used because the total fitting was less than an inch long.
Sorry, no pic available from my parts drawers.
If you need that block fitting, I probably have one but not with a 0 - 10 atm sender.

I'll sort again through my boxes as that small fitting does look familiar. This build is taking a long time due to little things like this but on the other hand, I am getting to know this engine like the back of my hand.
