If you start with a 3.2, you can't use a 914/6 cam. Its three cam journals are smaller than the four journals in a 3.2's cam carrier (or, if you prefer, cam tower - the big piece on top of the heads in which the cams rotate).

You could overcome this if you find older cam carriers (I forget offhand when the journals got larger, but for sure they did by the 3.2 era, and were still smaller with the 2.7s, so it is only the 3.0s I don't have memorized).

In addition, the 914/6 used the 911T motor of the day, which was the least powerful 911 Porsche made - ever, I think. 110 HP? 120? So its cam isn't going to be a good fit for a carbed and much larger motor. Others will have opinions on what cams you might want, depending on what you plan to use this motor for, but I know enough to suggest to you that you forget about the 914/6 cam.
