3.3 turbo 79 Misfire 2000 to 3500 RPM in neutral. No misfire under load???
I have a 79 930 that free revving in neutral has a misfire from 2000 to 3500 RPM. It does not have a misfire under a load.
This is baffling to me as it has new plugs and wires the CDI box is original however. Vacuum related? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You can fight that til the cows come home. Why does it matter if it runs nice when you drive it?

The fuel metering piston in the fuel distributor can also cause that kind of problem. At low airflow the fuel metering piston may be getting getting a little sticky.
