Something new to watch for: 1 800-bad-part
In trying to source part in an ever-shrinking Porsche parts universe, you have to be conscious of the source.
These new oil strainers were source through a large parts distributor who is known for carrying good quality parts but this one got through. The strainer has the same part number (930-107-314-00) as the factory part but was constructed incorrectly. The venturi sets too deep in the strainer cover restricting the oil pick-up. The difference is a .120". I though it might be a one part anomaly but it turns out that of the six we bought all six are the same. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376249911.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376249952.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376249977.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376249995.jpghttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1376250098.jpg |
