Andial 911SC 3.7 litre conversion

Evening all,

I have read a bit about this engine over the years but have never really found any details (including searching here).

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any details as to what else was done aside from keeping the CIS and adding the 3.2 crank and the big piston/cyl setup? Heads? Exhaust? CIS mods?

Also, what kind of horsepower and torque did it make?

Ps. I know a 3.6 is cheaper, just curious about this often mentioned engine.

We had a client with a Andial 3.7 based on a 3.2 carrera engine conversion. Torque was incredible, but the wall to bore dimension was pretty thin.

We extended the rear fenders a little so some larger tires would help keep the car hooked up.

Thanks Dave, Do you recall much about what else was changed aside from the p/c's?

I looked at that conversion years back at Andial. To my knowledge, Arnold mentioned that they open the case and also o-ring it too. I know they used Ollies Machine ( in Arizona now ) so you might call Ike and or George there for some additional info.
Oh p& c were approx 4k

Thanks for the extra info.

We've replaced many of the original Andial 3.7 102s over the years as the skirts crack. These have been replacement items we keep in stock and are even offered by our host here.

now that you mention it !
yes, that is what had happened on the one we had to repair

Charles,

Is your solution on the 102's more robust or do these simply become a wear item after so many miles?

Machine bore the case spigots, Andial used slip in cyls., to thin.
Stefan.
