Which Fan Shroud for 914-6 2.0?

Which fan shroud was used on the 914-6 2.0 engine? What color was it? Are there any other shrouds that are the same, i.e. the 65 through 69 911 shrouds? Wayne's book only goes back to 74 on the shroud.

Thanks

It was a black shroud.
To be more complete in your question, I would have to find my picture
The earliest shrouds had the diverter for cyl 1 and 2 pop rivited to the shroud
The cover for the oil cooler was a flat plate
later covers had a channel for the air to the oil cooler and a grey cover of the cooler
The diverters became extensions of the fan.

Here are some examples from ebay and the year the seller say they are.

1966

1967-68

1969

unknown year but has the gray channel you describe

The 66 and 67-68 look the same. The 69 and the unknown look the same. When looking at the shroud with the fan in front, the left rear has some curves in it on the later ones where as the early, 66-68 are square.

My question is which was used on the 914-6 and was it identical to the 911?

FWIW, a 914-6 uses the same engine as those used in the '69 911T. As for specific details for the 914-6 chassis, you might research and compare the part numbers in the respective parts manuals.

Ask the same question at the Early911SRegistry.org tech forum.

Fourth picture you posted with the full length duct for the oil cooler is correct for 914-6.

Cheers,

I just bought the forth one off ebay. From the few pictures I could find of a 914-6 it looks like the correct one.
