ID this cam please?
This is from a 2.2 that was built into a 2.7 by a previous owner who advertised it as having solex cams.
I am rebuilding the motor to fix some leaks and freshen things up. The cams are stamped "Webcam 96 104 102" I think 1996 was the year of the rebuild so that might be a date stamp. Webcam doesn't advertise a 104/102 grind. They do list a 104 grind as "Strong mid and upper end performance for large displacement turbo engines. Some loss of idle and low end performance." Here's their build list: Web Cam Inc. - Performance and Racing Camshafts. I haven't had a chance yet to install and measure lift. Anyone able to say what this cam is, perhaps confirm as Solex? Sorry the pic is so blurry, I couldn't find the camera so had to use the blackberry. Thanks! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1381673700.jpg |
Here are the intake and exhaust valve lifts for the cams, with zero lash:
Intake: 11.27mm 0.4444" Exhaust: 10.16mm 0.400" This doesn't match what specs I've seen for S or Solex or any oher cams. Any help? |
Call WebCam, thats the easiest thing and the secretary will tell you.
