2.2 S timing set up???

Hi Pelicans, I am putting my 1970 914-6 engine back together, it was updated to a 2.2 with S cams about 30 years ago by Stoddard, it had very little use since then, anyway, this is my first time rebuilding a 911 engine, I have Wayne's book but it is hard to follow at times. I am not sure that I have the cam timing right, this only refers to the left side cam, I want to make sure it is correct before I do the right side....the Z1 mark is lined up with the case split, the #1 intake valve is set at .004, the cam dot is facing up, the Z block and dial indicator are set correctly and set to zero.....when I turn the crank pulley clockwise twice around (720 degrees) the dial indicator goes 10.5 mm and ends up at zero degrees. When I was setting this up 360 degrees produced 5.25 degrees (half of the 10.5 degrees) is this correct? should I proceed to the right side cam? Thank you for your help!

Both cams with the dots up, pin them both. Install Z block and dial guage
You need to pre load the dialguage to say 7mm and set to 0
360 degrees on the pulley and youre looking to pin 5.2mm wwith 5.0 to 5.4 permissable.
When youre happy with your setting, move the Z block to the right side, preload and rotate crank pulley 360 degrees. Now move pin to agree with the left side.
If you cant get within a few mm, remove the tensioner and move cam gear one tooth.
reinstall including the pin, turn 720 and go looking for agreement in the numbers and pin the cam. Torque and youre done.
