Testing Spark Plug Connectors

Is there a relatively easy way to check spark plug connectors to determine if they are good. Thanks,

Tom

Use a VOM. First for continuity, and then for ohms.

You'll see if any are much different than others easily enough. These connectors have a long cylinder of what looks like graphite inside, with spring tension keeping its ends pressed against metal bits which stick through the ends. If it doesn't make good connection at both ends after a long hard life, it can stop working properly.

I snap a good spark plug into one end and measure resistance from the screw end of the connector to the spark plug. Good ones measure between 1 and 3 K-Ohms.

I check it for resistance while thumping it with my finger tip. some show a wide resistance range while others stay stable.
