964 cams in a '79 3.0

For those that have done it, do 964 cams fit the 3.0 cam towers? I can't remember if I have early or late style cams.

If/when I find cams, is there anyone in the northeast that can regrind used 964 cams to 964 specs?

thanks!

79 has early cams if its all original.
Chop off the steering drive extension on the 964's and use the later bolt and washer.

Or just have your SC cams ground to 964 specs and use your original hardware and shims.
