Engine Rebuild DVD for 964 and early 993

Hi All,

Anyone interested in rebuilding their engine or watching a bolt by bolt DVD of how their engine is put together? Our host has them available here...Porsche 911 Books & Technical Documentation - Page 2.

Customers are rebuilding their engines and using this DVD, it's that detailed.

Thank you,
dmark9

Early 993, is this the keyed camshaft engine?

Hi jhg41977

Yes, the early 993 should have woodruff keyed cams.

Thank you,
dmark9

This seams like a very good tool I'd like to have. I have been wanting to dod this for years to my own engine but still have fear to screw something up. Does it also covers the engine tear down, or just the process of rebuilding? Also, in the video do you include things that need upgrading to better superior parts or do you stick to OEM specs?

Thanks

Hi YZR500,

The DVD covers the assembly. It does not show the tear down. If you decide to buy the DVD, I would suggest watching the DVD before you begin the tear down.

I used OEM Parts. I re-used my pistons and cylinders. I did use an updated clutch throw out fork from a 997.

Thank you,
Denis
