Perma Tune?

Hello

Has anyone installed a newer spec Perma tune ignition? Any real benefits that can be measured?

Permatune

No personal experience, but there are plenty of threads that are not very flattering of the permatune products. If there is a newer one that works well, everyone would like to know.

I think the only ones that seemed to work OK were the old blue ones.

Most of the issues we saw with the Perma Tune units occurred when people just installed the units without paying attention to the unit specs.
The Perma Tune units require a more modern low impedance coil and the factory 911 coil has an incredibly high impedance coil that fried the Perma Tune units.
By installing the Perma Tune unit with the proper coil we found them to be efficient and reliable.

Thank Henry for the feedback
