Valve Spring Lenght(distance)

Dear All

do I need the P10c to check the distances? Is this the distance between the top of the spring and top of the valve?

How do I measure with out the P10C

Andrew

I may be misunderstanding your post - so you may need to post more information.

If you are attempting to measure what the "closed" valve spring height is (for purchasing aftermarket valve springs?) - you just install the valve in the head, place the spring retainer and retainer locks in place and then measure the distance from the valve seat (head) to the bottom of the retainer, using a good set of micro/calipers.
