Correct transmission throttle bellcrank carbs
I'm switching from CIS to carbs and understand that an earlier bell crank is better suited. Does anyone have any measurements to help me determine exactly what I'm looking for? Have a line on a few, but we aren't sure which one is for what application.

Todd,
You can retain your stock bellcrank, however you'll need to shorten the throttle rod that's next to the transmission by about 1".

On my '78 with Webers, I used the stock console with stock rods. Ditched the Weber bell-crank. Worked like a champ.

There is a post here somewhere showing a picture the different bell cranks that are available showing both the years used and the length of the arms.

I was able to source an early bell crank and an early rod (tranny to engine). Not completely installed yet, but looks like it will work with just a bit of fine tuning at the available adjustments.
You know how it goes, once something is off, then you go an order new bushings, have to wait, etc. ![]() Todd
