Options for strap on the fan case

The strap I have was poorly powder coated and I hate to put it back on. I can get a stock one or the one from Rennline
that has holes in it. Is there any good reason to send twice the price on the Rennline modelhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1393471762.jpg

sure, it looks cool.
other than that not much difference

It's a three piece... Very easy to install and remove compared to the stock strap. Plus, it won't tarnish in a few months the way the stock one does.

Why wouldn't that fit a 993? I like it but fit does not include 993.

Media blast it, zinc (yellow) coat it.

Rennline strap is a beauty... I'm a fan of most of their product line-up as it addresses the short comings of the factory items well.

Does it make it go faster?

euro911sc 02-27-2014 10:08 AM

I certainly go faster with mine on!

Sure it makes the car faster. A couple of nanoseconds at least per lap. Lighter = faster.

I compared the weight of this piece I drilled to the older, two bolt, style. They were identical, so I could just have used the earlier style.

Naturally, I got my hole cutting bits back out and lightened the earlier one. Weight savings written down on some scrap of paper somewhere.

I just make a trip to the little blue plastic hut before I hit the track, instant big weight loss! TMI?

I guess I'm supporting the Rennline team. Sent them my $
