Heater tube above cat (993)
The tube which connects to the auxiliary blower on the 3.6 engines is rather heavy, made of cast aluminum. I have not been able to find a Lightweight aftermarket part to replace it. Is there some obvious reason that I have missed, why can this not be made of lightweight aluminum or carbon tube?

There was a recent thread where this was discussed in depth. Jack Olsen made a replacement out of lighter weight material for his 993. Maybe someone can provide a link ?

Okay, I found Jack Olsen's thread. It was in the general 911 Technical forum with a last post date of 3/12/2014: /800485-crazy-try-crazy-not-try.html
Hope this gets you there! |
