how to determine deck height of a cylinder

I'm in need on one new cylinder for my 2.7. to make sure I find the right cylinder, I wanted to know how you measure deck height. ( the cylinder I plan to purchase has a deck height of 5) my current cylinders have no marking for height. can anyone provide me for the correct measurement locations/?

Thanks

Have you cleaned your cylinders and looked very carefully? Mine was stamped pretty light

You are confusing deck ht with cylinder ht group.

Deck ht is the distance from the piston edge to the cylinder sealing surface and depends on a variety of build dimensions.

Cylinder ht is the distance from case spigot mating surface to the head mating surface on the cylinder.

I will send some pics to your email tomorrow that will clear things up.
