Porsche Crest 996 torque converter

I rebuilt the motor but when I bolted the transmission up and installed in the car I
realized I forgot to re-prime the torque converter. Does anyone know if the transmission pump will refill the torque converter or will I have to drop the motor and trans. again to refill the torque ?? Dumb move.....I know.

Filling an empty torque converter will take anywhere between 8 to 12 quarts, depending on your car and transmission. So I would say it’s best to put at least one quart to provide lubrication during the time it takes to get filled in. Just one quart will do – does not have to be full as the transmission pump will fill your TC eventually. This is most especially true if you have an AT. Hope this helps.
