I bought a 1977 911 targa awhile back and I think It has a 911E motor and tranny in it . Where can I find the numbers on the motor to tell me what it is? The number on the bottom of the trans is 923/02 thanks...:)

The 2 engine numbers are to the right of the fan housing.
The transmission number is on the bottom rib. Many times the transmission number is badly worn and can be hard to read.
