PMOs and A/C?

Just wondering... can PMO carbs be used with A/C on a '87 3.2 Carrera? Is there enough real estate for both? Any other issues to consider besides space?

Thanks,

Rob

I would think so since Clewett Engineering sell the Double Pulley.

Rob,

Yes, they can. You'll need the short intake stacks & special air cleaners that PMO makes for such installations included in your kit. We do this all time.

Now I know why they ask if one has AC fitted when you buy the kit. Shorter stack to clear the tail fitted cooler.

Many thanks!

Tell me, do you still need the "short stack and special air cleaners" if the car has factory rear spoiler? My car is a 1987 M491 coupe with factory "tea tray."

Nossir, the standard stacks and aircleaners are fine.

Thank you very much... so much to learn! I can see that this Forum is going to be a remarkable resource as I start - once again! - down the Porsche road! Thirty years out of Porschedom is a long time; if you add the stuff I've forgotten to the stuff I never knew, I am really starting at the proverbial square one!

Thanks again!

Rob
