Smoke after rebuilt
 
Hi guys did a full rebuilt ran the car for 5 min only. No noise car sounds great
One week later restarted and the car has a little smoke is this normal until I do the breaking in?

Smoke colour? and smell if distinctive.

Did you replace the cams or rockers? Usually a 20 minute run in at 2000 rpms is recommended on a fresh build. Then drain and replace the oil. If you only ran it for five minutes then you likely didn't even warm the engine enough.

That said, if you are just getting a puff of smoke on startup than it is likely normal. If you are getting continuous smoke then it can be a number of things from the rings not seating to an overfill, etc.

Go find your favorite road and bed those rings in. It's the most exciting part of any engine build in my book. :)
