91SC rear Silencer positioning

Does anyone have a photo of the alignment of the rear silencer box on a standard 911SC? I have just refitted mine and it was a bit of a struggle. It seems to be closer in on the right side than the left side, and the whole thing seems to be over to the right a bit. This is not an original Porsche exhaust and so I don't expect a perfect fit. It is also the one that came off the car when I rebuilt the engine, but I didn't take any photos of it before I removed it. I am not too bothered as it is fitted, and isn't going to go on any other way, I just wondered if it was supposed to be like this?

Just found this photo on the internet. Looks like a similar position...in a bit on the right side?

I notice you have kept the Air (smog) pump. Most people remove this when they dont have mandatory emissions testing. I assume your ROW motor doesnt have a CAT.

Have you kept the individual pipes to each cylinder head? Is there a real advantage to having extra air pumped through the engine?

The air pump just pumps air in after the exhaust valve to burn off any remaining unburnt fuel. I have kept my engine completely standard for the rebuild. I am not a racer and don't do track days (in my own cars!). I have always believed that the manufacturers knew best when they designed the car and so I usually keep them that way! I also think that the value lies in originality and as the prices in the UK are on the up, it seems to make sense!
