Can I install the intra cylinder sheet metal after cam towers installed??

I need to sandblast and paint the cooling tin. Can I continue with the head and cam tower install and put the tin on afterward? Will it slide in?? Thanks.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403378607.jpg

No, you will need to wait
Before you install the camtowers you need to put in the oil return pipes. The pipes will be blocking the tin that needs to go in from the bottom side.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thank you for the heads up. Have to go blast and paint cooling tin...drats.

If you are using the one-piece oil return tubes (OEM), you have to wait. However, if you are using the collapsible two-piece tubes, you could proceed with the heads and cam towers installation.

There is a third option. Supertec 906 style cooling tin can be installed after the oil return tubes are in place.
At this point there is now great reason to use them but if a mistake happens, they are the remedy.
