Weber jetting om a 2,7 RS engine

Hello,

I have a 2,7 engine that now has 2,7RS mahle pistons and RS cams. It has SSiīs with stock muffler. The heads are from the small 150hp engine. I am planning to use 40 ida Webers. Does anyone know what jets and emulsion tubes I should use?

many thanks, Malte

What size venturies do you have as that frames the jetting?

FWIW, you are severely over-cammed with those 32mm ports and giving up a lot of low & mid-range end torque. I'd be using Solex or E cams with those heads for FAR better drivability.

RS cams, aka "S" cams work much better with 35mm or 36mm ports.

Thank you! Which Venturie would you recommend? At the momemnt I have 32,34 . But I think 36 would be correct. I will buy the parts I need to have it run nice. I had the P/C and the S-cams. Thatīs why I used them... Maybe not the best idea.

MaRu,

36mm venturies are an excellent choice on engines with S heads, however your T heads (32mm) will not come close to utilizing their airflow capacity and in fact, will again, reduce throttle response below 4000 RPM.

I'd suggest 32 or 34mm venturies along with a cam change as previously recommended unless you either install S heads or have your current ones CNC'ed to S specification (this is something we do).

Remember,...... ALL of the engine components must match and work together to get the performance you expect.

x2 on the heads... they're a huge part of the RS recipe.

Thank you very much you guys, I guess I will install E cams...
