Case nuts

So I am doing a pre assembly of the case before the actual assembly to make sure I have everything and I have a couple of questions.

I have the long through bolts with the acorn type nuts. After putting those on I have two acorn nuts, two of the beveled washers that you would use rings with and then two regular nuts with the same thread as the long through bolts.

So, I put the bevel washers with the acorn nuts and put them on the studs where the cooler mounts (see pix)

I put the two nuts on the studs in the front of the engine but there is not a bevel washer for either of these two.

Is this correct?

No, the through bolts all get beveled washers and acorn nuts except the inside one gets a 10 mm nut and washer
All through bolts get 0 ring washers including behind oil cooler., lubricate 0 Ring and bev washer freely and through bolt threads
Also clean and JB Weld the recess inside behind cooler and opposite outside on the case to seal potential oil leaks.
If you can't find the needed acorn nut, let me know

So the one in the second picture should be an acorn nut with the beveled washer and o-ring.

The one in the bottom photo would be correct. I guess since it is inside the engine it doesn't need a beveled washer and o-ring because it is inside the engine.

So, I will need one acorn nut and beveled washer. I pulled one off of a blown up 2.4 but the threads aren't the same. What do you want for one?

Case nut washers

Should there be beveled washers on both the nut and bolt side of the through bolts?

Beveled washers and o-rings on each end.

Well, looks like I am short some parts!

Whoever worked on the engine prior to me must have forgotten to put some parts back on. No wonder the engine was so oily.

You need 11 through bolts, fine thread
24 beveled washers, 13 acorn nuts, fine thread 10mm nut inside.
You need nylocks or prevailing torque nuts on perimeter, standard nuts with wavy washers inside the motor including cam carrier to heads.
