All the fun, 934 spun bearing

Originally started as "Bruce, I need a valve job", "just bring the engine over."
Well, opened it up and heads to the shop for the valve job. " I need the trans sent to Gary Fairbanks to go through as I have driven his work before, no one else will do." so off it goes to Gary
Broke the engine the rest of the way open, youre spun on #4, nice pistons, wow cams with 911 numbers on them and holes drilled on the lobes, 934 cams and pistons.
Engine is a 79 Turbo, crank and rods but 22mm wrist pins on 95mm pistons, again 934 parts. Crank out to CCR and Armando for repair, cross drill, clean. polish, and balance, returned beautiful.
Cams and carriers out to Henry to modify to use the center oilers. heads back with a couple guides needed but a new rod was balanced and 22mm small end bearing installed, Thanks, guys at T.Hoff engine shop, Raleigh, excellent as always.
Anyway, back ordered on the bearings til mid September, delivery last Thursday.
I worked the build from the bearings delivery through the weekend.
Picture crank at noon Thursday and together today. Check the exhaust, 934.
Bruce

Does Armando plate-up journals? I heard several years ago that plating was out - if not because of reliability and quality issues, then due to environmental.

I don't know the process but the product finish is very nice.
