What cams should I use in my 911 2.4 with 2.2S pistons?
 

The title says it all: What cams should I use in my 911 2.4 with 2.2S pistons?

Here is some facts:
- 7R case (will have the oil bypass mod done)
- 3.2 oil pump
- 2.2S pistons
- Twin plugged 2.7S heads (35/35 ports and new I46 E40 valves)
- ARP rod bolts
- Carrera tensioners
- 40IDTP Webers (will most likely be replaced with 40IDA Webers)

I now that the calculated compression will be somewhere around 10.4:1, but with twin plug, 98 octane fuel and the right cams this should be OK.

I have considered the following cams: E, Solex, DC30, S, DC40 (Mod-S) or DC44. I want the impossible: huge low end torque ;) and screaming top end power somewhere around 7000-7500 revs :D

It will be a streetcar that only occasionally sees a track – maybe once or twice a year. I want to be able to cruise around town without having to shift gears all the time, but I do like revs on the open roads as well – so I need a balanced compromise between low end torque and top end power.

I've heard good things about Mod Solex grind (DC40?). I would have gone that way had I put my hands on some good cores for a regrind. I decided to go with E to check my slide down the slippery slope.

I am quite sure that:
DC30 = Mod-Solex
DC40 = Mod-S

I would go solex or softer. S on smaller motors is pretty puny down low then wait, wait for it then woooooooo. best
