When Things Go Bad....
Bruce, can you help me with this?
Bring it over, I ll take a look at it. ![]() ![]() nice hole in the right side of a 964 engine, chain came right on through. The further it came apart the more damage found. Damage started in the right cam box as the cam was frozen in the bearing holes. I had to drive it out and all the rockers were worn beyond use, including broken. Cam drive was torn up, seen in picture, locator pin wiped the whole vernier. Cant even remove drive with a gear puller. Bruce ![]() ![]() Intermediate shaft, gear broken and I said to the owner "you must have cut the chain" he said he never touched it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sorry to hear about/see the damage.
Were you able to pinpoint the cause of the damage? Sherwood |

If I recall, there is a small bridge piece that completes the oil circuit from the chain house to the cam tower. Was it present and connected? Anyhow - looks 'spensive!

Wonder if the dealers still do the exchange program ... They'll want it together, though.
