Mahle part numbers
I am looking for a euro set of 3. pistons from mahle and there seems to be a few different part numbers, any idea what the differences are:
930 103 989 07 930 103 990 01 930 103 990 4 |
Anyone?
|
The differences are mainly compression ratio.
|
Thanks Steve, the weird thing is they are all listed as "Euro" 10.3:1 sets.
Strange.. |
What year is your engine?
|
Mine is a 1987
|
Ahhhh,..you have a 3.2, not a 3.0 engine (read your original post). :)
Still,...the differences are CR so your choice will depend on what octane fuels you use. |
Thanks Steve, I can see my typo thanks. I can get 99 octane fuel in the UK so just trying to figure the best cylinders and pistons for that
|
So after a bit more research I found that 930 103 990 01 is the US 217hp version (even though they are advertised as the euro versions).
the ones I am looking for are 930 103 989 07 which are the 10.3:1 euro 231hp versions. Thanks Steve! |
