AC Bracket delete?

Has anyone deleted the cast aluminum bracket for the AC compressor? I have a early 964 3.6 that I'm installing in an 87 carrera, which will not have any AC parts. I would like to remove the cast bracket, but it obviously interacts with the engine mount bracket. Is there a way around this? I considered cutting the upper part of the mount off, but I'm guessing that would be more visibly unappealing than having the empty mount there in the first place.

Thanks!

Just cut it of flush with the flat piece thats the same height as the engine tin.
Done it, look good.
