993 cam tower damage
Are these fixable? or do they need to be replaced?

This is the second time I have found post engine rebuild that the rebuilder did not take apart the cam towers and debris damaged the journals. The first was on my 951 engine. thanks, Mike |
The last picture is bad... I'd try sourcing replacements to be safe. If you owned a machine shop and could fix in your down time then it might be worthwhile. Paying to fix probably isn't economical.

Replace them.
Those are now doorstops. |
Thanks -- that is what I was expecting :-(
