I suppose that possibly from one of the upper seals. Did you have the cooler cleaned/pressure tested prior to start-up? I had mine fail on one of the fins close to the base of the cooler - initially thought it was a seal.

Yes I have it cleaned and pressure tested it was done by a company in California that does ultrasonic cleaning
|
That looks like an oil cooler seal leak. However, take a fresh, white paper towel and with the engine cool reach around the intake and dab the towel all around the breather, oil temp/pressure sender area (triangle of death) and then inspect the towel. Any fresh oil on the towel may indicate this is your problem and it in running down the front of the engine by the cooler (typically how the TOD leaks show up).

YES YES YES SO HAPPY
Was the oil switch for some reason was not tight enough Stay tuned more leaks to solve Thanks |
What's up with all the epoxy to left of cooler in pic?
|
On late 80's block There is a place where époxy is needed There is some sort of tube that goes through the casing
|
And it's on the inside area too under the cooler opposite where the JB weld is in the picture
