2.4 cam timing question
I pulled my 2.2 that was converted to a 2.4 and replaced it with a fresh 3.0. My brother built the 2.4 and apparently he missed a few things while building this engine so I am going to take it down to the block but not split the case and reassemble it (I hope he doesn't read this!). The reason I am going to take it apart is that it has several leaks and I see red silicone between the cam housings and the block plus at least one of the chain ramps are on backwards and it has what looks like home made solid tensioner which I will replace.
This is what I know (have been told about the engine). It is a 2.2 that has been stroked to a 2.4. It has S heads (can see the part number), I am told it has 10.5 compression, and S cams (the end of the cams have an S and a dot on them).
My question is, when I reassemble it what should I set the cam timing to?
