I just purchased a 76 911.The motor needs rebuilding so i bought your book and read it completely.The motor has been sent to merchine shop to check out the specs i got from your book.My only problem is the oil pump.I took it apart and it has a little back lash between the gears.About .008 the housing is a little rough no smooth like i would like to see.Is there a way that i can check the clearance between the gears and the housing.I didn't see anything in the book on this part.
