So . . I have this 930 case and . .. ...
I keep wondering if I should hold onto it and build it eventually or if I should just part it out.
I have my 3.2 ready to reassemble for my car (which is finally in wet sand stage) and I'm not sure if I'll ever need my "backup motor". It's a 930/60 block that has the spigots bored out to 105mm. I figured I'd build some monster out of it and have been accumulating parts for it but wonder if it's worth the hassle. My 3.2 will be more than enough for the cars intended use and I don't even have the crank for the 930 block anymore. I sold it for a godawful amount to a desperate customer after a mechanical over-rev claimed his engine. What would you do? Set it aside, keep accumulating parts and save it for a rainy day or sell it off to fast track the final stages of the 73. Opinions? |
Depends on how much spare time you have,no time sell it

The value of 930s has doubled or tripled in recent times. And in the process prices of real 930 components have as well. If it were me I would sell. I bet you could buy a complete running 3.0sc engine for what a real 930 would sell for.

That's probably the smart thing to do (not what I'm usually known for) and selling off the parts would help to free up some "investments" That's how I pitch it to my wife when I buy parts that I don't really need 😂😂. I guess I'll enventory the 930 parts and see what market is going for. Just gotta make sure I have every 3.2 part accounted for beforehand.
