Referrals for 2.2 engine w/ 180 hp

I am looking for a plug and go 2.2 upgraded for 189 hp

Hey Frank. I've been building engines for over 20 years and I can only think of two people whom I'm sure have built 2.2 engines that Truly made that horsepower (i'm a 2.7 and up guy) and had a lifespan not measured in hours. I can also warn you that to get that horsepower figure out of a 2.2 is going to cost a small fortune. Think 15-k and up.

Indeed. $15K is about 2/3's of what needed for a reliable 2.2 racing engine at that power level and up.

$15k plus a good engine core and fuel system.

Stock 2.2 liter S motor, 180 hp right?
Total rebuild including MFI would be about?? My experience was $25K in 1995' guess it would be twice that now..
Already had a complete motor to start with.
