How about a little more info? Are you looking for a shop to whom you can safely hand the keys? Or, do you have the engine torn down and you need a machine shop to remove the broken stud fragment from the block?

I should think you don't need a Porsche specialist to do a simple broken stud removal from an aluminum block. If you are a DIYer, there are plenty of threads here of folks describing what they've done to remove broken studs.

Pictures?

Out of the car and torn down, got 23 of them, the last is broken off flush with cylinder mateing surface an I don't want to mess things up. It's in the serial number side of a matching number 79 930.

I'd like someone who has experience to do the job.

Ollies is going to be doing even more, aluminum specs imbedded in the main and rod bearings and shows signs of over heating. Cams, rockers and towers all look fine as does the crank, going to have it and the cases checked for piece of mind.

All the oil galleys in the crank, cam towers, cases and oil coolers will be cleaned while there.

All this was not part of the plan when I got started, what the heck, gotta do it now.

Sorry to hear... I think you can't go wrong with Ollies. You'll know it was done right.

Good call. I can't imagine pulling down a motor and not having everything cleaned and checked to make sure it will be right when it goes back together.

I remember when I was a kid and racing Chevys and we could pull an engine down and do a complete rebuild for less than $200 and have a screaming, solid engine. Nowadays, given the cost of parts for our engines, doing it correctly is the only real choice.
