New Webcam cams don't match old cam nut
I bought some new Solex grind cams for my '70T a couple of months ago. I'm just now getting around to the build and found out the cam ends don't match the old ones at all, they have a thread for an end bolt and no flats. Can I use these with my old engine or did they just send the wrong part?
Edit: Looks like this is an SC-style cam, and that I can use the same gear and shims and just get SC-style end bolts and washers? Jeff ![]()

993 105 163 50 is the washer
12 x1.5x 50 bolt All the other parts for the chain drive work. Sometimes on a new cam you need to fit the backing piece with Emory cloth or to the shop to turn to fit. Bruce |

Great. How do you hold the cam while tightening the bolt?

Ah, of course, another $85 special tool to go with the one I just bought and used once. :P

Have you checked the bearing size? Do those cams fit in your housings?

Yes the bearing size is correct, so I just need the new bolt and washer.
