3.6 rebuild-did you prime your oil pump before installation?

The pfixit video recommends assembly lube inside the oil pump before install while Wayne's manual says not to and the pump will get oil in it when the engine is filled with oil prior to first start-up. Also there is a danger of getting oil on the mating surfaces during case sealing. Comments/recommendations? Thanks

If you put oil in the tank, you ll have oil in the pump.
The pump shouldn't be dry anyway.
