what is an early 964 engine wroth in parts

i bought a complete 964 engine several years ago, it was supposed to be ready to run, but i discovered a broken head stud, i figured no big deal i could top the engine. when i took the heasd off i noticed that one of the plastic toning chain ramps was missing a piece and cracking due to age. ended up taking the whole engine apart to check condition and look for debris. all the hard parts are good, but I'm not a 911 engine builder and i can't seem to find the motivation or a clean enough work space to get her back together. I'm thinking about parting it out and and starting over with an engine that i better know the history of. I'm also considering paying someone to put this one back together but I'm guessing that would cost me at least 10k. my 911 has been down for almost 4 years now and I'm starting to get frustrated. ..though still not closer to engine building.

Do you have the brain, coils, and all ancillaries to install?

I have the brain and intake manifold, I think I have the coils. maybe the power steering pump. No exhaust parts. Heads are back from Anchor Atlantic, flawless rebuild with new guides, and new exhaust valves.

When I ballpark all the parts on my spread sheet I come up with 8 to 10k in parts, but I may have over valued some things only using ebay as a reference.

If you just want a running car again, it probably makes more sense to part it out and buy a known-running motor.
