Oil routing 2,2s

Hello,

I will install a 2,2s engine tomorrow. The body shop that did the restoration installed the oil lines. At the 2,2s they are in the rocker so they were installed during welding, sanding, painting,...
The paintshop says the openings were covered all the time. But you never know!

OK, now here is my question:
Am I right when I think whatever might be in the lines will end up in the oilfilter? I think I remember the oilpump sucks the fresh oil out of the oiltank, and everything that comes back into the tank will takes the way through the oilfilter...

Many thanks in advance!!!

Here's a link to another thread that has a nice, clear diagram. If it were me, I'd flush the lines if there is any chance there's crap in them. Remember that oil filters do not filter 100%, so if you have reason to think there is stuff in the lines, there is at least some chance it will wind up in the engine. Peace of mind (and your engine) are worth it.
