2.2 Intermediate Shaft Gear Wear - Opinions
The 4.5 diameter pin measurement passes, I measure 137.33 mm and the wear limit is 136.50 mm.
Have not checked backlash with the crank gear yet. So other than the pitting... Thrust side: ![]() That is not a crack below, just more pitting. ![]() Non thrust side: ![]()

I am pondering the same thing with an sc. More worrying than the price of the gear is a statement that says gear and shaft were machined after assembly, or at least the gear was. So do I need a whole new intermediate shaft and gear? Also once the pits show is wear faster?

Check with a dismantler, I'm sure there will be many in stock, reasonably priced.
Just know the stamped number on the gear drive, 0 or 1. Bruce |
