need some advice: 3.2 torn down to longblock
hey all. i bought a 60k mile 3.2 with good leakdown for my 71T project. when i pulled the intake off i noticed that cylinder 3 and 5 have some soot or a little oil sepage between the barrell and heads. i figure since i've got it on an engine stand, i might as well fix this. now i'm thinking about replacing the studs with aftermarket ones.
i'm now finding myself dancing the slippery slope. my question is, can anyone help me configure a nice street set up? should i pick up some new p/c's? what kind of cam grind if i want to keep the stock intake/injector setup but a steve wong 91 octane chip? not looking to go overboard but wondering if you had a 3.2 out, what would you do? |
I'd replace the studs with steel ones, no need for aftermarket if you aren't doing anything crazy.
Here's what I went with on my 3.2, designed for street use: Web 20/21 Cams 3.4 Max Moritz P/Cs B&B exhaust Valve Springs Next step for me is working with Sal C to tune it using his MAF and injector kit. |
Slippery slope indeed :-)
