Tensioner and Idler Arm Interface

I installed my chain tensioners last night, but didn't "pull the pin." I noticed that the idler arm didn't rest on the center of the tensioner plunger and am wondering if this is a concern. The car is an '82 SC, and should have the updated idler arms. See images:

The idler arm is the updated one.
You have a flat surface on the tensioner but there is a curved surface on the arm to adjust for expansion from heat and wear of the chain
Everything is good

Thanks for the input. I was concerned that the idler arm foot should be more centered (fore and aft) over the plunger.

Your idler has a couple mils of in and out movement. Tensioner is fixed, idler isn't.
