SSI or Bursch Headers

Hi,

I have 2 sets of headers on the shelf, both 1.5" primaries.

First is a nearly-new set of thick-flange SSIs with an O2 bung on both sides.

The second set are new Bursch headers from our host, O2 on both sides, no heat.

The motor has SC heads with 1.5" exhaust ports. This motor made ~240hp on another set of 1.75 bursch's and a big flatspot at 3500.

The car is an autocross car that doesnt need heat, in fact the tunnels are likely to get crammed with oil lines.

My current plan is to use the Burschs and either sell the SSIs or put them on the wife's car when her heater boxes die.

I wasnt going to ceramic coat or paint the burchs, this car will likely never see rain. No paint I know of handles the heat and the same burches on another of my cars show no problems after 10 years...

Any problems with this plan, or other suggestions?

John
