1969 porsche engine question
I just bought a 1969 911-t porsche coupe. The guy i bought it off of said it has the original engine but the motor numbers tell me its a 1970 engine not a 1969.
So my question is could this 1969 porsche be a late model with a 1970 engine did they do that back then? Here are the Numbers 6107295 Thanks |

Others will know better than me, but off the top of my head I'd say no. A '69 engine could have been made in the fall of '68 -spring '69, but not '70

Get a Porsche COA or just call them. They'll give you the engine number for your vin.

This engine is from a 70T Sportomatic. Not original to your 69.

6108001 to 6108374 is North America Sportomatic type 911/08
6107295 is just North America 911T type 911/07 No way would Porsche ship a 1969 911 with a 1970 engine.
