cross post- 964 rod length question
I have run into both Carrillo and Pauter rods that are about 2mm longer for 964 does anyone know why these are made for 964? thanks Bob

Long rods
They are used with pistons with a reduced compression height-less rod angle
means higher RPM capability-and makes better power due to increased dwell time. |
Interesting Mark , so not recommended for use with Factory 3.8 rsr pistons? even if they are the 11.3 ones? wouldn't you need to shim the cyl. base also? thanks Bob

No. RSR pistons are built for a specific rod.
