Guess the PMO carb size
 

Hi Guys,

so, small heart attack today when the I had the top of the carbs measured at over 50mm. The manifold measures 34mm on the bottom.

Everyone has gone home so I can't ask them to take the carbs off to measure at the butterfly (the correct measurement) this evening, but i have to bite the bullet and place the order tonight still.

I have seen that the manifolds measuring 36mm (bottom) end up at 46mm where the carbs attach. So the smaller ones should end up close to 44mm at the butterfly end....not 50s then surely?

Peter,

40mm & 46mm carbs share the same castings; the 50mm ones are different.

The ONLY way you know what you have is to measure the bores just below the throttle plates.
